Do the Fit Heroes characters have disabilities?

Each Fit Heroes character has been faced with difficult challenges, some of which including various disabilities. While the card game itself does not highlight or discuss their challenges and disabilities, these are mentioned in the character’s personal backstories (coming soon). The characters have learned how to use their amazing bodies and minds to help themselves and others, becoming mighty superheroes!

How can kids with disabilities play the Fit Heroes card game?

All kids can play the game in their own unique way. Any attempt at doing the action or challenge indicated on the playing cards results in players getting points, even if it may not look exactly like what’s shown or mentioned on the card. (For instance, a child in a wheelchair may just wave their arms up and down to perform the “Butterfly Jumping Jacks” card. Another child may simply put their hands on the ground to do the “Powerful Push-Ups” card). Each child gets to use their imagination, and explore their body’s abilities, to do the required actions in their own unique way.

If a child with a disability is unable to perform any part of the action, they can simply close their eyes and mentally perform the action. Studies have shown that mentally performing physical actions is still beneficial for both the body and mind.

Playing as an entire group, or in teams, is a great way for kids with different disabilities to enjoy the game and have fun!
